COMMERCIAL-VEHICLE exports in May set a new high level. They greatly exceeded themonthly target and the previous record, achieved in March. During May 4,510 units (including road haulage tractors and trailers), valued at £4,114,833, were shipped abroad.
The average monthly value of exports for the first live months of this year Was £3,857,149, the total number.
of units shipped in that period reaching 44,714, valued at £19,285,745.• . Used commercial vehicles exported in the first five months totalled 1,245 and their value was £495,425. In addition, 35,178 agricultural tractors (0,881,348), . and parts and accessories of. various kinds valued at £14,976,095, were sent abroad.
