The van bad come to a halt on a spot which, after a lorry and two cars had gone past, seemed to have been entirely deserted. by the rest of mankind, and Bill, who could not locate the trouble, was feeling very fed-up.
Then, after a two-hours' delay, to his joy a car appeared on the horizon, and he stepped out into the road to intercept the driver and to beg for help or advice.
"Sorry to stop you, mister, but do you know anything about a .Ford ? "
"Oh, yes! Two or three funny stories. Goodday ! "
