Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

The Spegel controller, which has been designed and developed by Electric Power Storage Ltd and Legg (Industries} Ltd, is said to make big improvements in the method of charge control for battery chargers as used with traction batteries. It monitors the battery requirements throughout the charging cycle and so efficiently controls the amount of charge put into it.

Risk of adverse charging is said to be eliminated since the battery alone determines the amount of charge that can safely be absorbed. After a fully charged condition is reached, the battery can be safely left connected for an indefinite period. The controller can be used with battery chargers of any type in place of charge control relays of the MJV or DJV type. It can also be built into new chargers.
