The torque capacity of the range of low .speed, high-torque, hydraulrc motors, produced by Chamberlain Industries, has been increased from 16,000 lb ft to 36,000 lb ft by the introduction of special geared versions. A single high-ratio epicyclic gear train is incorporated in the unit which is available with gearing giving a reduction ratio of 6.375 to 1 for fitting to the company's 580 B125 and B200 motors, a unit with a ratio of 4.125 to 1 being fitted to the B270 motor. Maximum torques of these motors are 20,000 lb ft, 29,000 lb ft, 36,000 lb ft and 34,000 lb ft respectively, the corresponding maximum continuous power outputs being 130 hp, 100 hp, 125 hp and 170 hp.
