IN anticipation of a £4,000 deficit, J. excluding the recent wage increase, at the end of the current financial year, Preston Corporation have approved a modification of early-morning fares which is expected to increase revenue by £17,000 a year.
Workers at present get the benefit of a return journey for the single fare. The proposals, which have yet to be approved by the Licensing Authority, will mean that only single fares at half the normal fare will be available.
