• Grey Green Coaches has won Castrol's Britain's Brightest Bus Service Award, following a survey of over 40 national operators. Its winning route 24, from Hampstead Heath to Pimlico is the first London Regional Transport service in central London not to be covered by traditional red buses. GGC operates 26 buses on the route, out of its fleet of 81. The company, which carries 25,000 passengers a day on its winning route, was commended for the cleanliness of its vehicles, the lack of graffiti, punctuality and customer care. Other finalists were Castleways, Peoples Provincial, Langley Park Motor Company, Fife Scottish and AA Motor Services.
