Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

You wouldn’t want to light a match in the NEC on the second or third mornings of the CV Show, so powerful are the alcohol fumes. With so many people wandering around with eyes like p*ss holes in the snow, we thought we’d give you a few tips on how to shake off those hangovers.

● Drink plenty of water or sports drinks to rehydrate and replenish those lost vitamins, salts and minerals.

● Avoid caffeine – it will only dehydrate you more.

● The ancient Mongolians used to swear by boiled sheep eyeballs as a hangover cure, but there’s a chance that you might not find any of those in the NEC restaurants...

● ... in which case have a fry-up instead – it will give you the energy boost your body desires.

● Make sure you pack some painkillers and antacids.

● Wear dark glasses and eat mints. It won’t help to ease the aching head, but it might help to disguise the hangover from others.

● Eat tomatoes to replenish vitamin C or, better still, have a Bloody Mary!

● Hair of the dog really does work, albeit temporarily.

● Stay in bed.

● Obviously the best method is prevention – consider not drinking the night before.
