• Texaco's rapid oil analysis service, Texcheck, provides a full written report dispatched typically within 48 hours. Where analysis reveals an incipient problem, the subscriber is notified within eight hours.
Subscribers receives a package of a special vacuum syphon pump, sample bottles, rapid mailing tubes, sample identification forms and preaddressed labels.
After checks for visual and odour contaminants are made, more sophisticated tests are made: moisture; viscosity; emission spectroscopy; and colorirnetry.
