• A Grampian Regional Council lorry ban which was imposed last month has brought extra business to the 5 Star truck stop in Aberdeen because drivers who are no longer allowed to park in the city are driving to the 5 Star site to use its overnight facilities and avoid prosecution.
Truck stop manager Aileen Duncan, says: "The ban has really helped us. We are waiting for the council to put up a few more road signs as many drivers don't know where we are." The Five Star is near the A956 in east Aberdeen.
