Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

N Truck and coach electronic speed control system manufacturer, Rugby-based Econocruise, has just gained a second large contract with an American firm. It is to make the secondary air control for Sonex Research, of Maryland, as part of a new lean-limit combustion system by British company Turner & Newall, Econocruise's parent firm.

In 1990/1 the proposed ECC15-05 exhaust emission regulations will come into effect throughout Europe for cars in the 1.4-two-litre category. The new technology combustion system to be produced by the Turner & Newall companies will enable vehicle manufacturers to meet the new standards without the need to incorporate expensive exhaust system catalysts.

The system requires regulation of the mixture into the combustion chamber by means of a special air valve and an electronic control unit. It is this control system that will be made by Econocruise.

The company gained a Lim contract earlier this year to supply electronic speed control systems to a US subsidiary of the Cummins Engine Company.
