Holdings (CM 10-16 December), has taken delivery of 10 Leyland Tiger llin singledecker coaches.
They are powered by 162kW (218hp) turbocharged Leyland TL11H engines coupled to semiautomatic Pneumocyclic gearboxes and feature air suspension.
The Tigers have Plaxton Paramount 3200 bodywork with 47 fixed seats, and are equipped with Purmo saloon heating. This system uses floor-mounted radiators to spread heat evenly through the coach and dispenses with the motors and fans needed in conventional heating systems.
The latest United singledeckers will be based at depots throughout the company's operating area.
