Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Is this the 40-tonner of the future? The space-age artic is just one of six progressive designs commissioned by National Freight Consortium member BRS for its 1988 calendar.

The visions of the shape of trucks to come by the year 2028 celebrates BRS's 40th birthday. They were produced by postgraduate students at the Transport Design Department of London's Royal College of Art.

The calendar features a wide variety of futuristic commercial vehicles, from top-weight articulated trucks down to light delivery vans.

The artic pictured here is the work of 24-year old Fran Cush and features a single-seat driver's cab which can be moved hydraulically to either side of the truck. Special glass in the cockpit and living compartment minimises heat loss, and video cameras and monitors replace conventional rearview mirrors.
