ARLINGTON Motor Holdings reports a 50 per cent increase in half-year profits for the six months to 28 September 1979.
Pre-tax profits totalled £1.047m, compared with last year's equivalent figure of £0.697m. Turnover for the six months was up from £23.4m to £31.3m.
"Very successful" bus and coach sales take much of the credit for the increase in profits, and, predictably, petrol sales revenue also helped.
Arlington distributes Bedford and Leyland commercial vehicles and psv, York and Scammell trailers, and Volkswagen light commercial vehicles.
