R. H. (Dick) [moll, secretary of the RHA International Group has resigned to take up the post of secretary designate with the Wine and Spirit Merchants' Association of Great Britain on January. 1. Mr. Insoll was also secretary of the RHA Car Transporter Group, the Licensing Committee and the Education Committee. As an RHA delegate to the IRU he did a great deal in advising members on the early complications of the T.I.R. system.

R. F. Bottrill has been appointed general manager and engineer of Sunderland Corporation Transport in succession to Norman Morton, who resigned in October, over the flat fare and token issue. Mr. Bottrill joined South Shields Corporation Transport as general manager in 1963. He was previously transport manager of the former West Hartlepool undertaking and before that was commercial officer with Portsmouth Corporation from 1956 to 1961.

OBITUARY

WE RECORD with regret the death of Mr. W. J. Atkinson.

Mr. Atkinson, aged 55, was depot manager of Reed Transport Wigan Depot. He was well known in the road haulage industry, having served with Greenwoods of Ramsey, Medway Transport, British Road Services (as depot superintendent, Larkfield) and, since 1955, Recd Transport Ltd.
