• David Johns has been appointed technical director at coachbuilder GRP Massey.
He succeeds Chris Berridge who has been promoted to sales director after two years overseeing technical operations.
Johns, who was engineering director at coining machine manufacturer Verson HME, brings a wealth of technical experience with him. He spent 20 years at Simon Engineering in Dudley, winning the Queen's Award for design in 1980 for the world's largest aerial fire-fighting machine.
Johns, who will be based at GRP Massey's head office in York, will be responsible for consolidating the company's technical developments.
