He succeeds Chris Berridge who has been promoted to sales director after two years overseeing technical operations.

Johns, who was engineering director at coining machine manufacturer Verson HME, brings a wealth of technical experience with him. He spent 20 years at Simon Engineering in Dudley, winning the Queen's Award for design in 1980 for the world's largest aerial fire-fighting machine.
