THE ROAD Haulage Assoc tion's vehicle and traffic formation scheme (VATIS) is have a third and final trial peni from September to Novernt this year after which a decisi will be taken on whether to troduce a permanent scher early next year.

As before, it will be on national basis and membe who took part in the OA previous trial periods will be i eluded free of charge. For othe there is a fee of £25 plus vat.

So far, 237 RHA membe have subscribed to the schem but the Association is looking f, new registrations. Existing sub cribers will be receiving lette asking their opinions of the se vice which the RHA will moniti closely, and will be invited 1 continue using it.

An RHA spokesman said th. he hopes that the scheme vti succeed. "I'd rather the RHA ru it than anyone else," he said.
