IRELAND's preoccupation th territorial unity the bconscious reason why the B I Line, which operates the rries from Cork and Rosslare to Pembroke Dock, has linked that settlement with the separate town of Pembroke, a mile away?
The local district council has remonstrated with the company, which advertises its ships as sailing from Pembroke instead of from the celebrated dockyard town.
Local pride has been wounded — a dangerous thing tado to the Welsh — apart from which there is apparently the risk of expensive shunts as drivers following signs to the harbour brake sharply on reaching the turn-off for Pembroke.
I am, however, reliably informed that there is no question of a hunger strike in support of a campaign for home rule for Pembroke Dock.
