The ssociation wrote to its mem:rs directly after NBC made lown the severe financial ,fficulties which may culmin:e in it giving up 40 million route miles.
The ADC's John Gilks told The Guardian this week that there was evidence that councils could run buses more economically than the NBC. Eventually councils could take over the stage services surrounding large cities, says Mr Gilks, leaving the NBC to run inter-city expresses.
