A CALL to set up a new trg port controlling body will made by the Transport Salm Staffs Association at Trades Union Congress Blackpool on September 14.
The body, to be called National Transport BoE should have executive coni of railways, shipping, rc trunk haulage, road passen services, parcels and wareho ing, hotels, tourism and transport, say TSSA.
In a bid to achieve a in integrated and efficient p licly-owned transport seci TSSA want specific pol proposals put forward at next Parliamentary session, well as new legislation to turn those nationalised ind tries sold off by previous Gc servative Governments ii public ownership.
The TSSA will also deplc the cancellation of the prop ed Channel Tunnel Rail Li and will press for its imn diate resumption.
