Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Barham Bodies Ltd., of Northampton, specialists in light-alloy folding-side vehicle bodies, has introduced a new range of all-aluminium alloy multi-purpose bodies. Designed to carry a wide range of loads, including bulk, bagged, palletized, the alloy bodies are available for fitting to any chassis and can be supplied in a variety of lengths to suit operators' requirements. When fitted to a Bedford 208in. wheelbase chassis /cab, it offers a weight saving of 7cwt over a comparable design with a conventional mild steel subframe. In this case the vehicle, plated at 16 tons g.v.w., has a payload approaching 1Cq tons and body capacity of 560 cu ft.

Developed by Barham Bodies in collaboration with Alcan Industries Ltd., 'and Brook Welding Ltd., the new bodies are based on a tipping platform of integral all-aluminium alloy welded construction. The longitudinal members are alloy pressings which are welded to a one-piece 3 /16in. thick floor plate. The 4fthigh sideboards, fabricated from Alcan Quicklok (a push-together plank system) are fitted continuously to the side raves by means of stainless steel "piano" hinges and fold inwards to form a robust secondary platform. In 5min, the body can be transformed from a bulk tipper to a flat platform by removing the detachable corner and centre posts, bracing bars and central sheet supports, and by folding the sideboards inwards. The tailboard can be left upright or fitted under the folded sides. The vehicle illustrated is fitted with a 4LNS Edbro twin-ram front end tipping gear.
