Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

II Sixteen vehicles were transferred from B to A icence at Hanley on Tuesday. The vehicles belong .o Mr. R. G. Bassett and the case was heard by Mr. J. Else, West Midland LA. An objection was entered

BRS Ltd.

Mr. G. C. Tinsdill, for the applicant, said that Or. Bassett had 12 vehicles on A licence and 18 m B. He was linked with three other companies is a director of each. Together they had over 100 rehicles on A licence.

The applicant. Mr. Bassett, said that the main eason for the application was to tidy up the icence. The change of licence would not change he earning power as. at present, work was carried hrough Bassett's Roadways.

Mr. H. Simpson, for ORS. said the figures ubmittecl by the applicant showed that the average ,arning of the A-licensed vehicles was £8,000 per ehicle per year. If the vehicles on B were transerred to A licence an increase in revenue of £24,000 could be possible.

The LA said that an increase would not, infect, Na possible, as the work was being done through lassett's Roadways. This practice was bringing the icence into disrepute; it was, therefore, correct o grant the switch.
