ONE of the first women in Yorkshire to be licensed as a war-time bus driver is handling a double-decker on stage-carrying service between Thorne and Doncaster. She is Miss Phyllis Thompson, employed by the chairman of A.R.O.'s Yorkshire Passenger Sectional Board, Mr. E. Parrish, of Felix Motors, Ltd., Hatfield. Miss Thompson and Miss Joan Sheriff, of York, who' is driving on of her father's vehicles, received their licences from the Transport Commissioner for ' the Northeastern Region at a pleasant little ceremony held a few days ago in Leeds.
