W. ALEXANDER and Sons (Northern) Ltd has applied to reduce some fares in north-east Scotland, designed to bring it into line with Grampian Regional Transport.
On routes from Aberdeen to 27 destinations the company wants the penny 'protection' surcharge of the city area cancelled.
This 'protection' charge was agreed to many years ago with Aberdeen Corporation Transport Department to prevent it losing passengers to country services.
