Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

AS SUFFOLK County Council Is not allocating financial support to Eastern Counties rural services the company is being compelled to make widespread service reductions next month.

This is despite an allocation of £633,000 government transport supplementary grant to the county, and a reduction of £150,000 in the claim put in by the bus company, due to economy measures already introduced.

Eastern Counties general manager Ronald Wade told • CM: "Despite the adequate cash allocation by the Government, and our own effective efforts to reduce our claim on the county council, they have taken action which can only result in hardship for bus, passengers.

"The revisions include the withdrawal of about 330 journeys weekly, spread over many routes over much of the county.

Fifteen buses operating wholly or partly in Suffolk will be withdrawn, and at least 25 job opportunities lost.
