Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

A range of self-contained motorized actuators known as the Mini-Pac and designed for a wide variety of power applications requiring linear movement of up to lain, has been introduced by the Duff-Norton Division of the Consolidated Pneumatic Tool Co.

Each unit consists of an enclosed motor of 120V ac or 12V dc, a gear set with a ratio of 20-to-1 and a mechanical screw-and-nut mechanism with steel translating tube and end fitting. Equipment includes an over-travel protector, load limiting adjustable-friction disc clutch and automatic spring brake, All components are sealed in a corrosion-proof aluminium-alloy die-cast housing with an integral pivot mount.

The Mini-Pac requires only one pin for mounting and a second pin for securing to its load. Since it is electrically powered, it can be operated in "remote" locations. A batterypowered version can readily be employed on mobile units, lorries, boats, small conveyors and so on.

Capacities vary up to 5001b and the unit operates at speeds of up to 145in . /min. It is offered with standard strokes of 3in., Sin., 12in. or 18in, and weighs 81b.
