Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• The DoE may "look into" criticisms of the red and yellow rear markers on lorries which have been made, in a letter to The Lancet, by Prof Norman Grist, professor of infectious diseases at Ruchill Hospital, Glasgow. According to the professor, the warning stripes are a danger, not a help, and should be banned. People had complained that the fluorescence in the markers could cause migraine, and he personally had found that the camouflage effect of the stripes produced a dazzle pattern which made it difficult to distinguish the shape of the object under the stripes and difficult to estimate its distance.
