warehouse operatives will be laid when Placketts Express Parcels completes a move to Telford from Nottingham next month.
"We needed to switch to a hub and spoke rather than continue as a networked operation," says chief executive Barry McGowan. Placketts was the subject of a management buy-in last December, when McGowan's Impact Logistics bought control. He joined from White Arrow Express.
The Nottingham site will continue as a depot, while the Telford site becomes the hub for expansion of the 12strong depot network in England and Scotland.
