Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• ERF will launch its flagship Olympic cab at Truckfest on 1-2 May. The high-roof, twin bunk EC cab is based on the Sovereign trim level and offers 2.14m of standing headroom in the passenger side footwell.

Looks are similar to the standard EC cab with air management kit, but the Olympic makes use of the interior height of the aerodynamic package for cab space. Specification includes four-speaker RDS radio/cassette player, carpet, velour seat trim, air-suspended driver's seat with lumbar support, and electrically c o n trolled roof vent, windows and Twin bunks have mirrors.

sprung mattresses. T h e passenger seat swivels to face the rear of the cab and a pull-out table under the bottom bunk. Stowage space includes a threecompartment locker under the bunk and additional locker space in the header rail. There is a locker at one end of the top bunk with pockets at the other end and over the doors. And there is a built-in wardrobe.

Switch panels in reach of the bunks control the interior and bunk lights, cab heater and roof vent, while the radio is equipped with a hand-held remote control.

A fold-down step gives access to the top bunk, with the help of a fixed step in front of the bottom bunk which incorporates a flask holder. Both bunk mattresses are sprung, additional cushions are provided. The top bunk comes with a retaining net.

Externally, the Olympic is fitted with an under bumper air dam and cheek deflectors. An illuminated headboard is standard. Stowage for chains, ropes and dirty equipment is provided with an external locker. Like all ERFs, the Olympic cab carries a 10-year warranty. Air con ditioning is offered as an option as are chassis side skirts.

The Olympic Olympic cab: 2.14m standing headroom. cab will be avail able across the complete EC range. ERF expects most orders to be for highpower, long-haul tractive and drawbar units. The Olympic cab will add £1,500 (ex•VAT) to the price of an EC Sovereign with airflow package.

ERF has launched a low. weight 4x2 EC tractive unit. The EC10.32ST is fitted with a Cummins 10litre L325 engine, ninespeed Eaton range-change gearbox and single plate clutch. Other weight saving measures include Rockwell single wedge brakes, 275/70 tyres, a new design crossmember and redesigned rear suspension.

The result is a kerb weight of 5,820kg with 273 litres of fuel, oil and water, offering a 600kg advantage over a standard EC 4x2 tractor. A further 90kg saving could be made by fitting alloy wheels.
