Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

NHS SUPPLY chain workers are to mount 24-hour strikes to protest about the sale of NHS Logistics to German firm DHL (CM 14 September).

The first strike by Unison members in NHS Logistics will take place today (21 September): they will stop work again on 26 September, coinciding with the health debate at the Labour Party conference.

NHS workers voted unanimously for the strikes. Karen Jennings, Unison's head of health, says: "Our members have worked hard to build NHS Logistics into an award-winning service and don't deserve to be treated in this way.

"There is simply no logical explanation for this transfer.

"Last year it delivered savings to trusts of £2.8m: cash that can be ploughed back into front-line services. There can be absolutely no justification for privatising this service."
