Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

BRITAIN'S LARGEST RAIL freight operator, EWS, has established a rail freight service operating between the Port of Southampton and Birmingham I ntermodal Freight Terminal.

The new inter-modal terminal, which has been built at Tamworth, Staffs, is owned and operated by Roadways Container Logistics.

This launch of this service fol lows the publication of National Rail's Route Utilisation Strategy, which forecasts a 422% increase in the movement of maritime containers by rail by 2015.

With an average of 30 containers per train, EWS predicts that more than 20,000 truck movements per year will be removed from the road network.

EWS already runs four other services from Southampton to Burton on Trent, Trafford Park, Wakefield and Widnes.

EWS business development manager Duncan Clark says: "With a strong growth forecast for the movement of containers by rail, EWS is excited to be developing a range of new services to be launched to shipping lines later this year."
