Trailer manufacturer Dee Warley has butt its first aluminiumbodied, taper-framed ejector trailer; it is going into service with Leeds City Council.

The trailer is based an the Dee Warley Taper Jecta steel model. The aluminium body on a steel chassis version has an 84m3 capacity and is 44-tonne ready.

The 310mm taper towards the rear of the trailer is designed to enable the height to be reduced by transferring 6m3 of payload into the sloping floor. The trailer weighs 10,200kg with an eight-tonne payload on each axle; it has disc brakes all round.
