A WEST M I) LANDS haulier has elected to be tried by jury in connection with allegations of forgery and false pretences involving international road haulage journey permits.
Ronald Long, who trades as Arron Windsor Imports of 4 Tithe Road, Wednesfield, elected trial on two charges of fraudulently altering a vehicle registration document; two of using a false instrument for the issue of international journey permits; two of making a false statement to obtain international journey permits; using a false instrument with the intention of inducing the Department of Transport to accept it as genuine; deception in relation to an international journey permit; and deception in relation to an operator's licence identity disc.
Committal proceedings are to take place on November 4.
