NORMAN COOKE has been appointed operations engineer of Yorkshire Traction Company, based at Barnsley, from October 1. He succeeds John Fickling who was recently appointed chief engineer of East Midland Motor Services at Chesterfield.
Cooke is currently North Area engineer with Northern General the company he joined in 1966. He took up his present post in 1983.
