JOHN FARRANT is quitting his job as managing director of BRS Southern to take on the new post of managing director with responsibility for BRS Engineering and Heetcare.

The new appointment takes effect on October 7. It carries overall responsibility for 80 major engineering locations and 70 Fleetcare workshops.

Farrant's place at BRS Southern is being taken by Colin Colvin, also with effect from October 7. He is

currently area director, East Pennines for BRS Northern.

• The Boston branch of BRS Midlands has a new manager — Mark Fernandez. He has been with the company since September 1983, working at its Banbury branch before being appointed last year as projects manager of its Wisbech branch.
