THE NEWLY-FORMED Avon . Backstop Division of Avon Tyres is to have Dick Harris as its general manager. The Division will be responsible for the manufacture of the Avon Backstop touchsensitive fully-automatic re
verse braking device, and for its marketing and sales in all areas outside North and South America.
Harris joined Avon Tyres in 1958. Before his new appointment he was sales manager — truck tyres.
