Southern British Road Services has appointed a new branch manager for its depot at Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire.
He is Les Beaumont, previously the company's training officer. Mr Beaumont joined the company five years ago after leaving Leeds University and then completed' the BRS management development course. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Transport. National Bus Company subsidiary Crosville has Made several new appointments. Chester depot superintendent Eric Parsons has been promoted to district traffic superintendent for Chester. Mr Parsons joined Crosville in 1957 as a driver and Chester depot garage foreman in 1963.
Owen Owens moves up to divisional manager, Gwynedd, having previously been assistant divisional manager since 1974. He joined Crosville as a conductor in 1935 and has risen through the Welsh divi sions of the company.
John Twynam has moved to Coventry Steel Caravans ds the company's marketing and sales manager. He was formerly marketing director for a division of Babcock and Wilcox. Coventry Steel Caravans design and manufacture exhibition vehicles and other specialist units such as medical and training vehicles, and belong to the Caravans International Group.
Charles Cunningham has been named general managing director of Rockwell Maudsley and Rockwell Thompson, both part of Rockwell International European Automotives Operations. Rockwell Maudsley is based in Alcester, Warwickshire, while Rockwell Thompson is in Wolverhampton. Mr Cunningham joined Rockwell in 1972 and became managing director of Rockwell Thompson in 1977 after holding several positions in America.
