Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

A FRENCH manufacturer of heavy haulage trailers, Nicolas, of Auxerre, has begun to build its own design of special tractive units to supply users with matched equipment for special applications.

The new vheicles — Tractomas — are powered by MercedesBenz OM 404 V-12 diesel engines of 310kW driving through ZF Transmatic transmissions. Units are available in 8x8 or 6x6 configurations, the latter for a gtw of 200 tonnes. Axles are supplied by Soma and the cab is a Berliet type.

At least 12 vehicles are already under construction, making Nicolas the second French specialist in this sector with PRP (now under new management) continuing a strong tradition of building very powerful tractive units for civil engineering and similar operations.

PRP (Perez et Raimond Paris) has already supplied a number of TG 300 models to China, and Poland and is currently turning out two units a month. With Cummins KT 450 engines as standard equipment the maker also offers GM, Caterpillar and MercedesBenz options.
