ONDON Transport Shopinker bus service is to be ithdrawn. The last bus will m on Friday, September 28. The service, which was degned to provide an easy conection between London's entral shopping areas for )reign tourists, has not roved as successful as was oped.
Despite being often more readily available and considerably cheaper than taxis, the 30p flat fare failed to attract enough passengers needed to make the service viable.
Traffic congestion along the route resulting in long gaps in service, coupled with a drop in the number of tourists, contributed to the service's financial loss.
