Distributing Industry Marketing Group of the Institute of Marketing will be addressed by Mr Richard Marsh, chairman of British Railways, who is president of the Group set up to study the marketing problems faced by both users and carriers in the transport and distribution industry. The meeting will be held at 6.30 pm on Monday October 15 at the Royal Great Western Hotel, Paddington, London.

Future meetings will include a study of total distribution costs; the implications of changing legal, administrative and environmental factors; how UK exporters can maintain competitive distribution costs; the development of more efficient transport systems and distribution methods; and the implications of packaging, containerization, etc.
