Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Transport and trading group Dundee, Perth and London Securities has trebled its profits again and is looking forward to not less than £1.1m in the current year.

For the year ended March 31 1973 transport and warehousing contributed £347,530 from a turnover of £3,374,295.

The annual report says it is intended to develop an integral network of transport depots in the UK and the group is continuing to search for a suitable base from which to commence operations on the Continent.

The acquisition of Link Road Transport (Hull) Ltd and Wilkinson Bros Fish Transport Ltd had been completed. Since the year end it had acquired Bedford-based E. Hull Ltd. The agreement with Freightliners Ltd, under which the group operated a new rail freight terminal in Dundee, was the first between Freightliners and a private company.

DPL's pretax profits have mounted £50,449 (1971), £180,329 (1972) to £729,755 (1973).
