Me series began at Olympia in 1907, will open at Earls Court, London, at 10 a.m. today. The official opening ceremony will be performed by Mr. Peter Thorneycroft, M.P., President of the Board of Trade, at noon. •

The Show will be open daily from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m., except Sunday, September 23, and will close on September 29. The Price of admission is 5s. before 5 p.m. and 2s. 6d. after that time, except on Saturdays, when 2s. 6d. is charged all day.

The Commercial Motor" appropriately celebrates the • occasion by the production of the largest issue ever published in its 51 years' history. It provides a complete • guide to the Show in easily assimilated form.

Next week's issue will again.be greatly enlarged and will provide a comprehensive review of progress. Chassis design. coach and bus bodies, goods-vehicle bodies, trailers. Municipal vehicles, workshop equipment and accessories and components will be dealt with separately.

, Visitors to the Show will find " The Commercial Motor" (Stand 17) on the ground floor at Earls Court, immediately to the left of the Warwick Road entrance.

A new edition of " ' The Commercial Motor' Tables of Operating Costs "—the 42nd in the series—will be on sale there. The Tables have been completely revised to bring them up to date, and include guidance on methods of cost recording. They cost 3s. net (3s. 4d: by post) from all booksellers and bookstalls, and from Temple Press Ltd..
