• Disgruntled franchisees at Securicor Omega Express have issued legal proceedings against the company over their franchise agreements.
London law firm Field Fisher Waterhouse is acting for eight out of Securicor Omega Express's 15 franchisees who have begun legal proceedings claiming "breach of contract". The main dispute relates to the level of franchise fees demanded by Securicor and new contract terms including tougher business targets.
Neither Field Fisher Waterhouse nor the franchisees were able to comment further because of a "gagging clause".
A spokeswoman for SOE said: "A number of franchisees have made an allegation and it is our intention to defend the litigation."
