Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• A massive shake-up looks set to take place at Ford next year as the UK's largest seller of cars makes plans to invest millions of pounds in a new distribution operation.

Although details are not finalised, Ford is to follow the lead of other UK car manufacturers by initially opening a new regional holding site which will send its 370,000 cars direct to dealers. It will start operating in the early part of next year for cars produced at its Dagenham factory.

From there it is expected that car transporters Si!cock Express and Toleman

Si!cock and Tolemon Automotive will deliver Automotive, which currently deliver all UK-produced and imported cars, will take the vehicles to dealers. It is so far unclear whether Ford itself will run from new regional holding site direct to dealers. the regional

holding site or contract out the work.

If the pilot scheme proves successful it is expected that Ford will extend the initiative to its other plants at Halewood and Eastleigh, near Southamp ton and to the port of Harwich.
