Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

TIP TRAILER Services has revealed its plan to replenish its rental fleet and quadruple its pan-European trailer servicing portfolio. As a result, TIP will buy 4,000 trailers — half its rental fleet — over the next five years to replenish its ageing rolling stock. The company's new owner, Chinese conglomerate HNA Group, has already rubber-stamped £1.7m investment into new premises (CM 7 November); now it is keen to

invest into the fleet and flush out the older trailers, explained TIP commercial director Mike Furnival (left).

As part of the plan, the company will look to develop its contract hire business and explore markets with double-deck, aerodynamic, pillarless and skeletal trailers. Karl Davies (right), services and marketing director, said HNA Group wants TIP to raise its contracted trailer management

service portfolio across Europe from 12,000 units to 48,000, matching the number of trailers in the European rental fleet.

"There are big opportunities in Europe I think we in the UK have led with the repair and maintenance service FleetCare, and the business is committed to the growth of rental and services," he explained.

• TIP Trailer Services has revealed a new logo (left) and will remove the name of its former owner — GE — from its trailers over the next 18 months.
