Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• ERF is offering factory-fitted tag and pusher axles on its ESeries trucks for the first time. The company says it has the expertise to supply extra axles, which until now have had to be retrofitted by outside firms.

Factory-fitted extra axles will be "price competitive" and will have the advantage of being covered by original manufacturer's warranty, says marketing director Rod England.

ERF is testing a two-axle 24 tonne tractive unit version of its Steyr-cabbed E58 in Ireland. It is fitted with the Cummins CSeries engine, also used on the three-axle ES8 24-tonne tipper.

The vehicle is running with an Irish Milk Marketing Board single-axle tank trailer which needs to negotiate narrow farm gates. It is unlikely that the spec will become available in the UK. 0 Perkins has developed lowemission versions of its four and six-cylinder Phaser engines which meet both the forthcoming Euro 1 standards set for 1992/1993, and the current US limits. The new engines are charge-cooled, and have redesigned combustion chambers with a highpressure fivehole injection system and wastegated turbochargers.
