/ Fish haulier Charles Alexander says it has been invited to tender again for its £500,000-ayear delivery contract serving London's fish merchants.
Last month CM reported that Billingsgate traders wanted to drop the TDG subsidiary, accusing it of delivering direct to its retail customers.
But now Andrew Cardle, chief executive of Charles Alexander, reports that some of the traders are having second thoughts about dropping his firm: "They are concerned they will lose access to the network we provide," he says.
Yesterday (20 November) Wincanton made a presentation to the fish traders in a bid for the contract, but Carclle is confident that the matter is "far from cut and dried".
