Fred Mitchell has retired from the position of works engineer with ERF after 47 years. Mr Mitchell was ERF's longest serving employee and started work with the company in 1934 as an apprentice vehicle electrician and he worked on the electrics of the first vehicle to be built. After the war he returned to ERF to become maintenance electrician. He was recently promoted to works engineer with responsibility for all ERF works maintenance.
