SIMON Engineering Dudley L has a new lightweight hydraul access platform, designated tl RA 82. It first appeared at tl Association of Public Lightit Engineers conference and exl bition last month.
Mounted on a Ford Transit vi the new platform has a ma) mum working height of 9.7 (31ft 10in) and a maximu outreach of 5.28m (17ft 4in).
The geometry of the platfor design is such that it eliminat the need for add-on safety stol and features a no-knuckle, n verse articulated boom config ration which allows a wide ranc of movement with no tail swir during rotation.
A low travelling height of 3.1 (10ft 21n) allows access to tt cage from ground level an with a typical van body offei 3 0 0 kg ( 6 6 0 1 b) o spare capacity for the carriage tools, equipment and use as workshop or store.
Hydraulic power is supplie by an electric power pack whic includes its own batterie charged from the vehicle heavy duty alternator. Pow can also be supplied from tI gearbox via a pto.
