AExisting insurance policies do not
normally cover the use of a vehicle outside the territorial limits of the U.K. Your insurance company will, however, provide you with a "green card' which provides the cover necessary at an extra charge to your normal premium. If you are going to or through Spain you should also obtain a Spanish bail bond. It is also advisable to obtain a marine all-risks cover for the sea journeys and discuss with your insurers details of goods-in-transit cover for the load.
