Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• The in-company management training courses which have been operated since 1957 by the Brent Group of Companies have been transferred to the School of Business, Ealing Technical College, St. Mary's Rd., London, W5, with RHA, sponsorship and RTITB grant aid.

Described as a two-stage, part-time commercial management course for the road haulage industry, it would, in the opinion of the Association and that of Mr. J. M. Silbermann, Brent Group's managing director and chairman of the RHA Education and Training Committee, well serve as a prototype for use in other parts of the country.

The introductory syllabus for the 18-21 age group began recently and will continue until January 27, next. Eligible students are those with "0level education, being fulltime employees of haulage or similar businesses and regarded by their employers as likely to become junior managers within three years.

The junior manager stage will begin on February 3 and students should have been junior managers for at least a year and are likely to be in the 20-30 age bracket.

Each syllabus embraces 15 one-day sessions, normally from 9.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. on Tuesdays, at Trangmar House, Hamil ton Rd., London, W5. The fee for the introductory stage is £40: that for the second stage has yet to be decided. The course tutor is Mr. J. F. Hooper and the lecturers will include Mr. Silbermann.

A stage for senior management may be introduced later.
